Is it safe to drink the water? Healthy humans and water justice
6:05pm, Wednesday 15th March, at Mary-le-Bow Church, Cheapside
Water is an essential element of life, something we all need to grow and thrive. We must establish healthy relationships between our own bodies and the water we need, and also look to areas around the world where access to clean drinking water and sanitation can be an everyday struggle.
JustShare gathered a panel of water health experts to discuss what a healthy relationship with water looks like across the planet and focus on the importance of water justice in an unjust world.
Our speakers were:
.
Professor Hugh Montgomery, Professor of Intensive Care Medicine and Director of the UCL Institute for Human Health and Performance
Dr Lee Hooper, Reader & Senior Lecturer in Research Synthesis & Nutrition, Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia
The panel was chaired by Christine Hancock, Founder and Director of C3 Collaborating for Health
This event is part of JustWater2017, a programme of churches and cathedrals around the world working together to raise awareness and activism about water.
