“Prophets of Justice challenge Profits of Injustice: What can we learn for the 21st century city?"
The Rev Canon Dr Jules Gomes
26th February 2014 at 6:05pm
St Mary-le-Bow Church
The global economy is on a roller coaster. Capitalism is getting its
comeuppance. The walls of Wall Street have come a tumbling
down. If only we’d listen to what Amos had to say 2,400 years
ago! Is Christianity about “filling the hungry with good things and
sending the rich empty away?” Can the message of the prophets change our thinking from compliance to defiance, from passivity to protest?
The event was chaired by Neville White, Head of SRI Policy & Research at Ecclesiastical Investment Management Ltd.
