Is Agribusiness the only way to feed the world?
JustShare event with Global Justice Now and the Fairtrade Foundation
Wednesday 4th March 2015 at St Mary-le-Bow Church
For Fairtrade Fortnight 2015, JustShare hosted a discussion on the best ways to be feeding a growing global society. We were delighted to welcome speakers from Global Justice Now and the Fairtrade Foundation for the launch of the new Global Justice now report 'From the Roots Up: How agroecology can feed Africa' which highlights the need to avoid the one size fits all model of corporate-led agriculture.
This event will discussed the models of food production we should be considering, and encouraged the audience to tell their governments to support food sovereignty and avoid a corporate dominated productions system. We had some fantastic questions from a well engaged audience, take a listen now to the full event and please do tweet us with your comments!
